Hello, wider small-press comics world! My name is Kyle Petersen and I am the soon-to-be proprietor of Rigged Books, an all-new comics and zine distro house/publisher to open for business, and I’d like to make a big splashy start of this, my first, young foray into being your contemporary with the publication of a debut work by artist Liz Lehman and new work by Ian Griffith, Josh Shepherd, Bea Munoz and (hopefully) more. Liz’s book will be ready to go in October, just in time for APE in San Francisco and New York Comic-Con. I originally intended to get my own table, but by the time I tried to sign up, the list for table was loaded into waitlisting which I can bet will put me out of my preferred setup for the festival. This is where you come in.
If you know anyone tabling at APE who’d like to make back a good portion of their investment before the show and is flexible with their setup, REDIRECT THEM TO ME. I’m willing to pay up front and negotiable on how much it’s worth to me, not to mention that I’d respect my place as a guest at the table and work with my tablemate to first see their needs for space and setup met. I’m intent on putting out good work and giving a young publisher a leg-up would not only manifest an immediate reward, but a good and fast friend with a mind set toward a role in the future of comics.
If you aren’t tabling, and would put this where others who are can see it, you would have my personal thanks. Anything could do to help would be absolutely appreciated and humbling. If you can put me in direct contact with someone who I can make a deal with, you can expect a big care package of comic books I’ll carry from yours truly. THANKS FOR FOLLOWING AND LOOK FORWARD TO BIG THINGS
